If you enjoy playing a key role in oral health promotion, preventive services and evaluation in the community, within a Primary Health Care setting, this position will be of interest to you.  Your understanding of the determinants of health will assist you in recommending and providing appropriate oral health interventions to preschool and school aged children, families, groups and the community.

Emphasis will be placed on working with preschool and school aged children providing sealant assessment, placement and fluoride varnish applications.

The Registered Dental Hygienist is required to pack, lift, move and transport heavy and/or awkward equipment and supplies to various work sites.

Service delivery may require walking several blocks and climbing several flights of stairs, sitting, standing and/or bending for long periods of time, awkward and repetitive movements.
