Continuing Competence Program Rules

To formalize its commitment to continued competence and meet the mandate of the Health Professions Act, the College has established a continuing competence program with requirements related to registration and renewal of practice permits.

The Continuing Competence Program (CCP) Rules PDFDocument , approved by CRDHA Council effective November 10, 2006, define the requirements of the program.

Non-compliance with the requirements of the CCP is deemed to exhibit unprofessional conduct, and could place a member’s practice permit at risk. Continued non-compliance could lead to suspension of the permit.

The annual cycle for the Continuing Competence Program begins on November 1 and continues through to October 31 of the following year.
